YESUS MEMANGGIL

Matius 10 : 1 – 4

“Yesus memanggil kedua belas murid-Nya dan memberi kuasa kepada mereka untuk mengusir roh-roh jahat dan untuk melenyapkan segala penyakit dan segala kelemahan.” (Matius 10 : 1)

Jawablah pertanyaan di bawah ini untuk membantu merenungkan firman Tuhan:

Apa yang dilakukan Yesus menghadapi tuaian jiwa yang banyak? (ayat 1)

Untuk menindak-lanjuti tuaian yang banyak, Yesus memanggil orang percaya untuk menjadi murid-murid-Nya. Ada dua belas orang yang dipanggil Yesus. Hal ini mengacu kepada dua belas suku Israel dalam Perjanjian Lama. Saat ini juga Yesus memanggil semua orang percaya untuk ikut serta dalam penuaian jiwa-jiwa, termasuk anda yang membaca renungan ini. Untuk meresponi panggilan ini semuanya pilihan anda. Tetapi sebelum diutus orang yang dipanggil Yesus harus melewati ujian untuk mencapai tahap murid Yesus.

Hal yang pertama yang dilakukan Yesus untuk membentuk orang yang dipanggil-Nya adalah “Kebersamaan”. Yesus selalu bersama murid-murid-Nya, bahkan tidur, makan, berjalan dll. Selama 24 jam selama tiga setengah tahun Yesus bersama-sama mereka. Yesus memelihara hidup mereka baik rohani dan jasmani selama mereka bersama Yesus. Saat ini jika anda meresponi panggilan Yesus, tindakan bersekutu lewat berdoa dan merenungkan firman Tuhan harus dipelihara dalam hidup anda.

Kedua, dalam kebersamaan tersebut, Yesus mengajar murid-murid-Nya. Seorang murid sebelum mengajar orang lain, mereka harus “belajar” dan bersedia “diajar” dahulu. Dalam mengajar, Yesus bukan hanya teori saja tetapi disertai dengan praktek teladan dari diri-Nya sendiri. Konsep ini sangat berhasil untuk membentuk seorang murid. Yesus membuka rahasia Kerajaan Sorga dan prinsip-prinsip dalam Kerajaan Allah kepada murid-murid-Nya. Mereka diajar untuk “cakap mengajar” orang lain (2 Timotius 2 : 2).

Ketiga, Yesus memberikan kuasa kepada mereka. Kuasa yang pertama adalah mengusir roh-roh jahat. Ini membuktikan murid-murid-Nya sanggup mengalahkan si jahat untuk merebut jiwa-jiwa yang dibelenggu oleh si jahat. Kedua, kuasa untuk melenyapkan segala penyakit dan segala kelemahan. Hal ini akibat dari dosa yang sudah menyatu dalam kehidupan manusia. Kemerdekaan atas dosa meliputi kemerdekaan akan sakit penyakit. Mengapa Yesus memberikan kuasa? Untuk meneguhkan pemberitaan murid-murid-Nya tentang Injil Kerajaan Allah yang disediakan bagi mereka yang percaya dalam nama-Nya. “Sebab Kerajaan Allah bukan terdiri dari perkataan, tetapi dari kuasa.” (1 Korintus 4 : 20)

Ternyata orang yang dipanggil untuk menjadi murid Yesus belum tentu semuanya berhasil. Ujian dan pembentukan yang Tuhan sediakan dapat berhasil jika direspon dengan pola pikir dan gaya hidup yang taat kepada kehendak-Nya sampai akhir. Yudas Iskariot salah satunya, karena dari awal Yesus sudah mengetahui tentang pengkhianatannya. Tetapi Yesus masih memberikan kesempatan untuk berubah, walaupun nyatanya tidak direspon dengan baik. PANGGILAN YESUS BERLAKU UNTUK SEMUA ORANG

JESUS CALLING

Matthew 10: 1-4

“Jesus called His twelve disciples to Him and gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and every illness.” (Matthew 10: 1)

Answer the questions below to help you meditate on the Word of God:

What did Jesus face the harvest of souls that much? (Verse 1)

To follow up on that a lot of harvest, Jesus calls believers to be His disciples. There are twelve men called Jesus. It refers to the twelve tribes of Israel in the Old Testament. Today Jesus calls all believers to participate in the harvest of souls, including those of you who read these reflections. To respond to this call all your options. But before being sent men called Jesus must pass the test to reach the stage of a disciple of Jesus.

The first thing Jesus did to establish the person who called him was “Togetherness“. Jesus is always with His disciples, even sleeping, eating, walking etc. During 24 hours over three and a half years of Jesus with them. Jesus maintain their lives both spiritually and physically for them with Jesus. Currently if you responded to the call of Jesus, through prayer and action allied meditating on the Word of God must be maintained in your life.

Second, in the togetherness, Jesus taught his disciples. A student before teaching others, they have to “learn” and be willing “taught” first. In teaching, Jesus not only in theory but accompanied with exemplary practices of himself. This concept is very successful for forming a disciples. Jesus opened the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven and the principles of the kingdom of God to His disciples. They are taught to be “able to teach” others (2 Timothy 2: 2).

Third, Jesus gives power to them. The first power is cast out demons. This proves his disciples were able to defeat the evil to win souls shackled by the evil one. Second, the power to eliminate all sickness and all weakness. This is a result of sin that has been fused in human life. Independence of sin would include independence sickness. Why did Jesus give power? To confirm the preaching of His disciples about the gospel of the kingdom of God which is reserved for those who believe in His name. “For the kingdom of God is not composed of words, but of power.” (1 Corinthians 4: 20)

It turns out people who are called to be disciples of Jesus are not necessarily all of them successfully. Exams and establishment of God provided can succeed if responded with the mindset and lifestyle obedient to his will until the end. Judas Iscariot, one of them, because of the early Jesus already knew about the betrayal. But Jesus still provide an opportunity for change, despite the fact that not responded well. How about you?
